Is Your Website iPad Friendly?

Website’s Using Flash Beware!

The new Apple iPad is selling like crazy which is great news for Apple but no such great news for all website owners. If you haven’t already heard, Apple has chosen not to include Flash support on the new iPad. This is also true for the iPhone which has been out for some time. Apparently Steve Jobs is looking out for his own interest and his own bottom line and not concerned with how this affects website owners who use Flash on their site. This poses an issue for those of you who do use Flash on your website or have a full Flash website. If someone surfing the web with an iPad visits your website they will not be able to view any part of your site that uses Flash.

What Should You Do?

If your website uses Flash, there are ways we can make your site iPad friendly for you so you don’t miss out on any potential customers visiting your website. This is not something that you want to ignore as it is very likely that iPad sales will sore into the millions and very quickly. It has already been reported that Apple has sold over 600,000 units in the first week alone. Give us a call today for a FREE review of your website and to discuss your options!

KEY COMPONENTS TO YOUR WEB PRESENCE!

Monday, August 17th, 2009

There are two key components to running a website. To put it simply, one is having a nice website, a website that is user friendly. The other is having a website that can be found by those who seek what you have to offer. It is not enough to have one of these components in place while ignoring the other. What if you have a nice website but those searching for what you have to offer can’t find it or what if your site is number one in the search results but once they visit your website they are confused or turned off and just end up leaving your site and going to another.

On some rare occasions we may hear back from a client for whom we have designed and developed a website for and who is concerned about where they are showing up in search results. We explain to them that designing and developing their website for them was just one part of the process and we try and help them by offering some information on steps they can take to improve their website’s visibility. You can think of it like someone that goes to a car dealership and purchases a nice car. It may be a great car, but unless they also go to the gas station and purchase gasoline for that car they are never going to be able to go anywhere in it! The same holds true for your website, now that you have a nice website you also need to take steps in order for people to be able to find your website.  If this is something that you would not like to take care of yourself or if you feel that you just don’t have the ability to do so, you can always contact us and we would be happy to help you.  We offer search engine optimization, social media marketing and search engine marketing services to assist you with this process.  So don’t wait another day, put some gas in your car and start driving it today!
